The Violet Hour serves artisanal cocktails in the heart of Wicker Park. Rooted in pre-prohibition style libations, the James Beard Award-winning bar program features a seasonally rotating cocktail list, as well as an extensive selection of approachable and sought-after spirits.

The Violet Hour’s facade features an ever-changing mural with a singular light bulb designating its entrance. Divided into three salons, the interior features high-backed blue leather chairs clustered around small white tables that are illuminated by candlelight. A marble bar spans the length of the room and features cornflower-blue walls, white crown molding, crystal chandeliers and hardwood floors, giving the space an elegant feel.

Breaking All The Rules!⁣ Sunday, 5.5.19 from 10pm-1am, 2018 winner of the JBF Award for Outstanding Bar Program, Cure joins The Violet Hour in a toast to finalists past and present! ⁣ 2019 finalists Bar Agricole, Kimball House, Lost Lake, and Ticonderoga Club will be joining 2018 and 2017 winners Cure and Arnaud's French 75 in the largest Takeover of The Violet Hour yet. ⁣ ⁣ Representatives from two outstanding bars at a time are stepping behind our bar to do what they do best and dazzle us all with delicious beverages. However, don't worry if you miss their stint: a featured signature cocktail from each bar will be available on draft for the duration of the event! ⁣ ⁣ Executive Chef Alfredo Nogueira from JBFA winner Cure and sister concept Cane & Table will be serving up Caribbean inspired snacks, like classic beef empanadas and crab croquettes, to keep you fueled through the night. ⁣ ⁣ Meanwhile the usual Violet Hour rules will be on hold.
